About

Louise Canham (b. 1986) is a UK based artist.

After completing her foundation diploma at Norwich School of Art and Design in 2005, she went onto study Graphic Design at The University of Brighton. Graduating in 2008, she built an international crearive career, working across the music fashion and lifestyle sectors.

Her work took her from designing album covers for Ministry of Sound, to the design teams at Stella McCartney, Burberry and Liberty and onto international creative agencies such as Wednesday agency and Spring Studios.

Louise has always felt most at home working on concepts born from a particular visual reference or piece of inspiration. She is inspired by storytelling and people who’s work comes from a deeply introspective place.

Over the years Louise has returned to her own artistic practice, observing and responding to shifting tides across her own body image and sense of self.

Louise’s intention moving forward is to focus on the self. To go deeper into conversations around mental health, self worth and art as a form of expression for when the words don’t come easily, or simply aren’t enough.
